Jim Kunkel; Lu Taylor

Thelma “Cotton” Ladd Warren graduated from Deport High School, Paris Junior College, East Texas State University in Commerce and did post graduate work at Columbia University in New York. Prior to her marriage, she was a teacher and grade school principal in the Deport School System for sixteen years, and filled in when a teacher was sick for another forty years. She taught generations of Northeast Texans to love learning, including three generations plus in the elementary school, fifty years in Sunday School at the First Methodist Church in Deport, many field hands and one grandson.
