In his will, Mr. Mansinger left a bequest of 20% of the residue of his estate to the Lamar University Foundation “to be used for scholarships for deserving students to attend any campuses of Lamar University and/or Lamar Institute of Technology, with preference being given to any of my relatives who might be eligible for a scholarship”. The payment to each foundation was based proportionally upon student enrollment at each of the Lamar campuses, in accordance with the TSUS: Twelfth Class Day Reports for Fall 2010. Lamar Institute of Technology Foundation received 14% interest in the 20% bequest from the Estate.
