Luke Worry Maintenance Crafts Scholarship Endowment
Luke Worry was born in Lumberton, Texas and graduated from Lumberton High School. After graduation, he began working at Mobil Chemical O&A Plant in Beaumont Texas as a pipefitter. Over the years, he had numerous jobs that required him to work in various craft areas. He eventually worked up to a maintenance planner and supervisor at the O&A plant. In the late 2000’s, Luke changed jobs to become the Maintenance Superintendent at South Hampton Resources in Silsbee, Texas. There he was charged with revitalizing the maintenance department as well as being in charge of procuring equipment for multiple large expansions and refits. In this position, he oversaw the work of all of the industrial maintenance crafts, both those within the company as well as those that were hired on a temporary basis.
