Moore Geer Reach for Success Scholarship Endowment

Eva D. Geer & Pamela K. Moore began their education in smaller universities. They used a solid foundation that encouraged critical thinking and development of problem-solving skills to build small businesses that have stood the test of time.
Eva obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After spending several years as a Registered Nurse, Eva returned to school and obtained her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1990. As an attorney, Eva used her nursing knowledge and experience as she litigated hundreds of cases. In 2009, Eva opened her own legal practice focusing on estate planning, guardianships and probate. Eva’s nursing background has given her valuable insight and empathy for challenges faced by families.
Pam was the first female accounting graduate of Houston Baptist College, now Houston Christian University, in 1974. She obtained an MBA at Houston Baptist College in 1984. After a few years as a Certified Public Accountant in corporate America, Pam opened her own accounting firm that successfully served small businesses and families for nearly 50 years and has continued on after Pam’s retirement. Pam’s strong work ethic, ability to build connections and provide outstanding service helped her to create a vibrant small business.
